During Fall Quarter, the College Math Academy is offered for Crown and Merrill students. During Winter Quarter, the College Math Academy is offered for Oakes and Rachel Carson students.

What is the benefit of being in the College Math Academy?
- The small class of 40 STEM-intended students will give you an opportunity to build a strong foundation of fundamental mathematical knowledge as well as build a sense of community during your first quarter at UCSC.
- The lab section is designed to teach students how to develop a social justice-based project that is relevant and interesting to the student by looking at it through the lens of quantitative analysis using the Precalculus curriculum. The class revolves around the themes of the colleges, so it is a way to extend the living and learning community experience.
- Students will be supported by a teaching team: an instructor, a graduate student teaching assistant, tutors, and an academic counselor.
