Mike is responsible for College Student Life is responsible for the Student Life programs at Oakes College. He works closely with the Academic, Program, and Residential Life teams. He serves as an advocate and support person for members of the Oakes Community.

The College Academic Programs Coordinator provides administrative and academic support to Provost Ochoa. She assists in the coordination of the Core Course and other courses offered by the college and is responsible for special student project grants and funds.

Danny Rodriguez

The Lead Academic Preceptor is responsible for providing leadership and direction for academic advising at the college, for supervision and development of college advisors, and for supporting the college and the provost. They develop and implement an advising curriculum that supports the Undergraduate Academic Advising Mission. Lastly, the Lead Academic Preceptor collaborates with others critical to student success to advocate for and/or develop programs, procedures, or resources that benefit students in more than one college.

María manages the use of facilities for programs and events at Oakes. She works to support the CPC with all the events and programming that take place throughout the year. As well as support the front office coverage alongside our Office Assistants and Housing Coordinator.

This includes meeting with students to resolve possible university violations, utilizing restorative practices to reinforce community standards, and referring students to necessary resources on campus. His priority is to encourage student success here at UCSC.

Jackie Rabouin

Jackie Rabouin, Counseling Psychologist

Jackie is a CAPS Ph.D. licensed psychotherapist housed at Oakes College. She provides counseling to all students with a focus on the ABC population. Her task is to help students of different backgrounds find ways to work cooperatively with each other as well as assist students dealing w/ anxiety, depression, PTSD, etc.
